Basic Manicure Course

3–5 days · from zero to your first paying clients

3–5 days

A full intensive, not a taster. We stop when the technique is in your hands.

3–8 students

A small group, or one-on-one if you prefer my full attention.

Ukrainian

Polish or English on request, with an interpreter (paid separately).

from €750

Settlement in euro or złoty. An individual course costs the same as the course for three.

Is this course for you?

I built this course for people who are starting from nothing — and I mean nothing. No background in beauty, no idea what a cuticle nipper is. That is completely fine.

You are starting a new profession

You want a craft that earns money in any country you end up living in — and you want to learn it properly the first time.

You taught yourself from videos

You already do nails for friends, but you are not sure what is right, what is safe and what will get you into trouble.

You want to work in a salon

You need a level and a certificate you can actually show an owner at an interview.

What you will be able to do after the course

  • Read a client’s nails: recognise the pathologies you must not work on, and know when to send someone to a doctor
  • Run disinfection and sterilization to protocol — the part most self-taught masters get wrong
  • Perform a clean classic manicure without cutting anyone
  • Prepare the nail plate so your coating stops lifting
  • Apply gel polish with an even cuticle line and clean side walls
  • Set up your workstation and work in a way that protects your own hands and back

The programme

Every block is theory first, then my demonstration, then you doing it yourself on a model while I stand over your shoulder.

Module 1 · Anatomy and physiology of the nail

Structure of the nail plate and the skin around it: free edge, lunula, eponychium, hyponychium, matrix, lateral and proximal folds. How the nail actually grows and why that dictates everything you do to it. The chemistry of the nail — keratin, sulphur, minerals, lipids — and what makes nails brittle, soft or dehydrated.

Module 2 · Pathologies: when you must not work

Onycholysis, leukonychia, onychomycosis, psoriasis, eczema, paronychia, hyperkeratosis, melanonychia and more — with real photographs. You will learn to recognise them, to say no politely, and to explain to the client why she needs a doctor rather than a coating. This module is what separates a professional from someone with a lamp.

Module 3 · Hygiene, disinfection and sterilization

The three-stage protocol: disinfection, pre-sterilization cleaning, sterilization. Autoclave, dry-heat and chemical methods; ultrasonic cleaning; craft bags and storage times. Which products do what, hand antisepsis, and how to set up a workplace that would pass an inspection.

Module 4 · Instruments and materials

Nippers, pushers, scissors — how to choose them, hold them and keep them sharp. Files and their grits, and which grit belongs to which operation. Keratolytics: alkaline versus acid, pH and why it matters. The chemistry of bases, colours and tops.

Module 5 · Classic manicure, step by step

Hand and finger positioning, working with the pusher, applying keratolytic, cutting the cuticle safely with scissors and nippers, buffing. Filing the free edge into every classic shape without weakening the nail.

Module 6 · Flawless gel-polish coating

Nail plate preparation: buffing, degreasing, dehydration, acid-free primer. Base application and levelling to build a correct apex. Colour and top with an even cuticle line and clean side walls. Then the part nobody teaches: why coatings lift, and how to make sure yours do not.

How a training day looks

09:30

We start on time. Theory block — with questions, not a monologue.

11:00

I demonstrate the technique once, slowly, explaining every movement.

11:30

You work on your first model. I watch, correct, and make you repeat.

15:30

Second model — this time you do it your way, and we fix what is left.

The schedule says we finish at 19:30. In practice I stay as long as the group needs. I have finished at ten in the evening more than once — because somebody’s hand finally understood the movement and I was not going to stop there.

What is included

  • All theory materials — you leave with notes you will actually reopen
  • Practice on live models, arranged for you
  • All consumables and professional products for the course
  • Personal support from me after the course, while you take your first clients
  • A personal certificate of completion

About the certificate

Every graduate receives a personal certificate — but it confirms skill, not attendance. I am demanding: I will make you redo a nail four times if the fourth one is the first that is right. In return I give you all the time it takes.

That is the whole point. A certificate that anybody gets for showing up is worth nothing to you at an interview. Mine means someone with eight national championship titles watched you work and said yes.

Questions I get asked

I have never touched a nail in my life. Is that a problem?

No — this course is designed exactly for that. Most of my beginners arrive with nothing but the wish to learn. What matters is that you are ready to work hard for a few days.

Do I need to bring my own instruments?

Cutting and piercing instruments — nippers, scissors, pusher — each student brings their own, for hygiene reasons. Everything else, including all products and consumables, I provide.

Who are the models?

I arrange them. You practise on real hands with real problems, not on plastic tips.

Can I take the course alone rather than in a group?

Yes. Any course can be taken one-on-one — it costs the same as the course for three students, and you get every minute of my attention.

What language do you teach in?

Ukrainian, which Russian-speaking masters follow without difficulty. On request I run the course in Polish or English with an interpreter; the interpreter is paid separately.

Where does the training take place?

In central Warsaw. I also travel — if you have a group, tell me where you are and we will arrange it.

What if I need more time than the course gives?

Then we take more time. I do not send anybody home half-taught, and I stay in touch after the course while you take your first clients.

Ready to start?

Write to me and tell me a little about yourself. I will answer personally, help you pick your dates and hold your place. Groups are small, so places go quickly.
